Mass Production of Graphene by Chlorogenic Acid

چکیده

Recently, graphene has received significant research attentions due to its excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Based on its prominent properties, graphene has a wide range of potential applications. The one of the powerful methods for mass production of graphene is the chemical method using graphite. During the chemical process, reduction of the graphene oxide nanosheets is generally conducted to achieve high electrical conductivity. So far, several methods have been developed for the reduction of graphene oxide nanosheets such as a microwave irradiation and strong chemical reductants. The strong chemical reductants such as hydrazine and sodium borohydride are generally used for the purpose, but the reducing agents are harmful and toxic. In this study, we introduced a bio antioxidant which is non-toxic and environmentally safe for deoxidation of graphene. We also demonstrate that the deoxidation improves the electrical property of graphene. This work will possibly extend the applicable areas of graphene especially for biomechanical applications.
